Once again, I will will be heading to Africa to support a 2 week medical mission where we will care for hundreds of adults and children, mothers in childbirth and elders.
We are able to provide:
• Dental care and tooth extractions
• Vision care
• HIV testing
• Primary health care
• Surgical referrals to the local Hospital in Nansio
• Medication dispensing
As a group we live together for two weeks. We work closely with our Tanzanian partners, both medical and non-medical. Everyone’s knowledge and expertise is valued and shared. We travel daily to a predetermined village where we set up our supplies and medications. Upon arrival the sight of all the people waiting patiently for care can be both daunting and exhilarating. And in that moment  you will understand how valuable your contribution is and you’ll realize the amazing experience you are getting as clinicians, pharmacists, and logisticians.
