Katy Griffin

Hello, I’m Katy. After spending much of my career in Human Resources in the corporate world, I feel I want to contribute to something different. This will be my second visit to Ukerewe and my third trip with CACHA. These experiences have provided me with a fresh perspective, expanding my view of the world beyond what I’ve known. One of the most powerful emotions I carry with me after each trip is the respect I’ve developed for the team—both local and Canadian. I feel honored to be co-leading this mission with Heather, who is deeply committed to making a difference for the people of Ukerewe, no matter the challenges that arise. In my leadership role, I’m excited to offer support to others throughout this journey, and in my logistics role, I am able to contribute to CACHA’s health care missions without any formal medical training.
