Ashley Kettles

Jambo! My name is Ashley and I am from Thunder Bay, Ontario. I volunteered with CACHA for my first medical Ukerewe Fall mission in 2012. At that time, I had the pleasure of working with the Pharmacy team. Since my return, I have expanded my role working in the health care field as a Health Care Assistant in a family practice and then went on to completing nursing school as a Registered Practical Nurse. During my nursing career I have worked on med/surge in an acute facility, but the last 3 years my focus has been working in Public Health and serving our First Nations People’s in Northwestern Ontario, mainly flying into remote communities.
I am thrilled to be asked by this 2024 fall team to join them in a nursing role. I am fundraising in order to contribute to this particular mission costs: medical equipment & supplies, medications, stipends and allowances to our local Ukerewe partnerships, hospital and laboratory costs and more!  Many thanks in advance for allowing us to continue CACHA medical missions!

The individuals on these pages are raising funds in support of CACHA’s mission. The funds are given to CACHA to defray the costs of participation in, and supplies for, the mission, and not for the personal benefit of any participant. CACHA retains control over the use of all donated funds. Once the needs for the program have been met, or cannot be completed for any reason, any remaining contributions will be used where needed most.
