We can only continue our work through your generosity. Please read through the different opportunities outlined below and click through to Canada Helps Web site to make your donation today!
Sponsor the Gabon Floating Clinic Project
The lush jungle and river-dominated geography of central Africa's Gabon makes people's access to medical services infrequent or nonexistant. After working for years within the region's constraints, CACHA medical teams have devised and designed a practical, homegrown solution: a Canadian-made pontoon boat to bring Gabonese health care professionals and services to these communities year-round. Based on a stainless-steel hull made by U-Fab Boats in Smiths Falls, ON, the barge is a simple design that will contain space for a dispensary, blood lab, fridge and surgery. Total cost for building, transporting and re-assembling in Gabon will be $125,000.

Sponsor a Child
We are striving to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children in the Kilema area of Tanzania, and Aklampa area of Benin. AIDS and malaria have left thousands of orphans and vulnerable children in Africa - children living with grandparents, extended family or in child headed households. Few possess the skills or capital to secure many basic necessities, and their access to health care and education is severely limited. Over 1100 orphans and vulnerable children have been identified and registered in both areas and have categorized 265 of these as being in critical need of focused support immediately. For less than $25 a month, you can help to improve the lives of these orphans and vulnerable children.

Sponsor a Medical Mission to Gabon, Bénin, or Tanzania
There are over 165 medical professionals and 55 logistics and support volunteers that travel with CACHA each year in order to deliver basic health care to thousands of people. Since we are a not-for-profit organization, every medical mission participant must pay his or her mission logistics fees including medical donations to treat the 400 to 800 patients seen on every clinic day on mission. Sponsor a medical mission participant today.

Sponsor the Kilema Hospital HIV/AIDS Center
At the HIV/AIDS Centre, CACHA volunteers and local physicians test and treat HIV-positive patients. They perform the specialized testing needed to properly follow a patient on antiretroviral drugs (ARVs). They provide voluntary counselling and testing. They run the mother-to-child prevention of HIV transmission programme. The building houses the HIV pharmacy and laboratory, as well as community spaces for HIV support groups and other activities. Sponsor the cost of providing these badly needed services to people suffering from HIV/AIDS.

Sponsor Friends of the Ugandan Child Projects
Friends of the Ugandan Child is committed to developing sustainable solutions to a variety of health concerns with particular emphasis on child development and preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS.

Sponsor the Pamoja Tunaweza Women’s Center
The center, located in Moshi, Tanzania, opened in 2007 and serves as a temporary shelter for women and their children who have fallen on hard times. Many of the clients served by Pamoja Tunaweza (Kishwahili for “Together we can”) come to us through our partnership with a local women’s human rights group. It costs approximately $1000 CDN per month to run the Centre. Sponsor the day-to-day operational fees to run this Center – the first of it’s kind in northern Tanzania.
