As an educator and longstanding volunteer in my community, I have experienced firsthand how giving service can transform lives.
During my sabbatical year, I am thrilled to take part in a medical mission to Tanzania in February via the Canadian-African Community Health Alliance (CACHA), a non-profit, non-governmental organization aiming to improve population health and provide HIV care, orphan vocational centers for children affected by HIV, and education to remote African communities.
I look forward to assisting a group of dedicated Canadian professionals and local Tanzanian partners to deliver free healthcare services and supplies to a rural Masaii population.
