Beneficiaries: By working alongside local medical staff, CACHA participants have been providing treatment to over 10,000 rural villagers for over 3 years. Through this partnership, there are also opportunities for cross-cultural medical training between mission participants and local medical staff.

Objective: To increase the impact of the health systems and to improve access and quality of medical care provided in the Mara region, a hospital catchment area of 245,000. Each mission aims to provide necessary care to around 4,000 patients. Beyond the medical care and training provided, our team aims to improve health literacy and implement health education programs that complement the hospital’s outreach to more remote communities.

CACHA medical missions are non-profit and self-funded by volunteers and their donors. The mission cost  is disbursed over a variety of mission-related expenses including; accommodation, food, in-country transportation, allowances for locally engaged partners, medical and logistics equipment and supplies, communications, customs, medical treatments and referrals for patients, as well as CACHA overhead and management, CACHA membership fee, and helps to support many of our CACHA projects.

All donations submitted to CACHA toward payment of mission costs and plane tickets are tax deductible.
